The Elm Grove Junior Guild is proud to sponsor a number of events within and around the community. The Children’s committee organizes The Great Elm Grove Pumpkin Lighting and Santa Brunch. The Community Service committee arranges one-time service opportunities (such as meal preparation, gardening or building projects, run/walk volunteers) as well as drives/collections for organizations in Southeast Wisconsin. The Fourth of July committee organizes children’s events at Village Park on the 4th of July. The Memorial Day Parade committee plans and organizes the annual Memorial Day Parade along with American Legion Post 449. The Safety Village committee organizes the Safety Village program from registration graduation.
The Great Elm Grove Pumpkin Lighting
The Great Pumpkin Lighting was held on October 19th from 4:30-7:30 PM. Children in and around the community joined us for pumpkin carving, music, treats, spooks and family fun!
Santa Brunch
The annual Elm Grove Junior Guild and Elm Grove Woman’s Club sponsored Santa Brunch was held on December 21, 2019 from 10am-12pm at the Elm Grove Woman’s Club. Santa, Mrs. Claus, and a magician was there to entertain one and all, in addition to a buffet brunch and dessert. Advance ticket purchase required. Easter Party
The Hoppin’ Indoor Easter Party will take place on Saturday, April 4, 2020 from 9:30-11:30 AM in the Elm Grove Village Community Room.
Memorial Day Parade
In 1947, a unit marched from the Legion to the flag at St. Mary’s for the first Memorial Day Flag Ceremony. The children from the area followed on their bikes. The following year, the Legion held another ceremony at the cemetery on Highland Drive, and again the children joined in on their bikes. The ceremony returned to St. Mary’s in 1949 and in 1950 the Legion decided to not only hold the parade, but offer festivities for the children. Though the Post has moved, the tradition that the American Legion began 73 years ago continues today as a cornerstone event in our community.
Fourth of July
Our annual 4th of July Family Fun Fest will be at Elm Grove Village Park. In addition to many activities planned by the Village from morning until fireworks, the Elm Grove Junior Guild is proud to sponsor the games and activities including fire truck, ambulance & police car tours, bounce house, splash contest at the EG pool, swim race, penny scramble, foot races, field games and a water balloon toss.

Safety Village
Safety Village is a 5-day safety education program emphasizing traffic, fire, and personal safety procedures in accordance with National Safety Town Guidelines. It is open to children enrolling in four or five year old Kindergarten by September 1, 2021.
Safety Village will be held August 3rd-7th (Monday-Friday), 2021 from 9:30am-11:30am in the Elm Grove library parking lot and community room. Check-in will begin at 9 am on August 3rd in the Elm Grove library parking lot.
Early bird registration for Elm Grove Junior Guild members will run April 2021. The general public will register via the Elm Grove Recreation department website beginning in early May 2021.
